National Smile Month is the Largest & Longest-Running Oral Health Campaign.
It’s National Smile Month! National Smile Month is the largest and longest-running oral health campaign. Thousands of individuals and organizations work together to highlight the campaigns three key messages. These messages help remind everyone to develop and maintain a healthy mouth.
This year, National Smile Month reminds us to:
- Make sure to brush your teeth twice a day, including right before you go to bed. Use a fluoride toothpaste in order to help strengthen weak spots in your teeth and exposed roots and help prevent the early stages of tooth decay.
- Reduce the amounts of sugary snacks and drinks you consume.
- Visit your dentist as often as they recommend.
The aim of the campaign is to help everyone improve their overall oral health and achieve good physical and mental wellbeing.
National Smile Month encourages everyone to get involved: dental and health professionals, schools, pharmacies, community groups, colleges and workplaces, anyone with an interest in good oral healthcare.
The campaign includes a number of fun events and activities designed to educate and engage the entire community about the importance of proper oral healthcare.
National Smile Month is designed to create a healthier and happier world. Its message is designed to help channel positivity into the community and promote the true value of a smile, not only for its benefits for our physical health but also for our mental wellbeing, too.
Show your support this month and smile! Studies show a smile can reverse a bad mood and make your day better. While it may seem like a small thing, a smile can lift your spirits, as well as the spirits of others. So take part in National Smile Month this year. Show your support this month and smile!
